Students of yoga at Halestone focus on harmonizing the breath with
mental concentration and a full range of motion within the joints to tone and
lengthen muscles. Halestone’s yoga classes emphasize accuracy of placement,
alignment, and action while offering modified forms for each posture so that
students can progress at a safe, individual rate. Hour long morning classes flow
steadily from posture to posture using Sun Salutation as the basis for an
energizing workout. The ninety minute evening classes begin with an applied
tutorial highlighting a specific area of interest followed by a full hour of
guided Asanas and close with time spent in a restorative posture, giving
students an opportunity to explore the restful dimension of practicing
yoga.
