Class Description

Instructor: Kathleen Gale Modern Dance Fundamentals is designed for dedicated young dancers looking to deepen their technical skills and expand their dance tool-kit. Emphasis is placed on developing proper alignment, strength, flexibility, coordination, and musicality, drawing from the foundational principles of Graham, Ailey, Barténieff, and Horton techniques. Improvisational skills are nurtured with exercises that cultivate inner body awareness. MDF is a non-performing class. Junior Company dancers are required to take MDF and one additional technique class of their choosing to support their artistic development.
