Modern Dance I

Class Description

Build upon foundational modern dance principles with a greater focus on movement quality, dynamic contrast, and technical precision. Students will further develop suspension, momentum, changes in weight and direction, turns, jumps, improvisation, and more complex movement phrases. Emphasis is placed on connecting technique with artistry, musicality, and intentional movement.
