Class Description
A pre-pointe ballet class focuses on building the strength, alignment, and technical foundation needed to safely begin pointe work. Dancers develop foot and ankle strength, core stability, balance, and precise placement through targeted exercises that reinforce proper ballet technique. 9+ Years old Sign up before May 18th for a reduced rate! Before May 18th: $150 for the week After May 18th: $160 for the week This class will be taught by Christina Peters- Christina Peters is an experience ballet and pointe teacher. She studied at various Roanoke studios growing up and performed as a member of both the Southwest Virginia Ballet Company and Roanoke Ballet Company. She attended Governors School for Dance at the University of Richmond and continued to pursue her dance education at Radford University – focusing on primarily ballet and pointe. As an adult, Christina has taught at several studios including Roanoke Ballet Theatre and Halestone. She has served as Assistant Director for City Modern Ensemble for many years and continued to perform with them, as well. Currently, Christina teaches Advanced Pointe and Pre-Pointe at Linda Watkins School of Dance. She is excited to return to teach a Pre-Pointe Intensive this summer at Halestone. Christina will be travelling from Roanoke, and therefore this class will need a minimum of 6 people registered in order to run. Invite your friends!
