Class Description

Instructor: Virginia Newman and Mikaela Schon This dynamic class seamlessly combines the technical precision of Pre-Pointe training with the expressive artistry of Contemporary dance. The session emphasizes strength, balance, and proper alignment to support a successful transition to pointe work. At the same time, students will explore creativity, fluidity, and emotional depth through contemporary movement, fostering both physical technique and artistic expression. Students will need nude canvas or leather ballet shoes. We recommend Bloch or Capezio.
